The agenda of International Vedanta Society is to peach unto mankind the divinity of their Self. That man is divine and pure by nature. The idea behind forming a society is providing a platform where people from every strata of life, irrespective of caste, religion, Sex, Creed and the like can come together and work for this common cause of spreading the message of love and oneness in this planet.Vedanta is an essential part of our life which is still undiscovered. We do our day to day activities through our mind not through our body. But, mind is a very restless entity. To calm down the mind is the only secret of a perfect and efficient work. With the practice of Vedanta, the mind becomes calm and still and then the divinity within us gets manifested. We start to realize that we are divine, not the one whom we have known since childhood, but, something else which we haven't known. Thus the quality of our thoughts increases tremendously increasing the quality of our mind , thereby the quality of life and actions are also refined. And this is the only reason why we should follow a vedantic life.Spirituality is a science by which we know the reality of this world and our Self. As we know that this world will not remain after a certain time. That means its not true. Then what is the truth? Searching the truth, one has to go beyond his body, mind, intellect and ego. There lies the Truth which is existence, knowledge and bliss absolute.We should follow this route to attain freedom. Freedom from our thoughts.Well, after reading all these lines, you can decide if it is beneficial or not.
